Mistral Jacquard by Sesia is 100% Fine Merino Wool.  A fun 4ply merino wool yarn that almost nearly, creates a two colour fair isle affect when knitted.

It is important to Yarning Place to understand how a yarn works, feels, and looks, so we make samples where ever we can. This yarn is designed to self-pattern, based on knitting it into a baby or child sized garment, to achieve a fair isle look without changing colours or following a graph.

But what happens when you crochet it? The stitches in crochet are tall not just worked straight across a row...so we tested it out. And the result loosely resembled the knitted version but had more of a dappled effect. Because the yarn beautifully blends 2 colours, knitting or crocheting it created nice color changes and a somewhat regular pattern.
